Payroll & Accounting Specialist

Payroll & Accounting Specialist | Onsite | Roseville

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to manage payroll and some general accounting duties. The ideal candidate will have strong full-cycle payroll experience, ideally with multi-state, and excellent attention to detail. This is a temp-to-hire or direct hire position.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll, including bonuses, commissions, and payroll adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws, taxes, garnishments, and reporting requirements.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, audits, and year-end processing.
• Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and payment discrepancies.
• Apply cash receipts, submitting invoices, and generally support accounts receivable activities (no client contact or calling at all!).
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll and general accounting experience.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, compliance, and garnishments.
• Experience with payroll/HRIS systems such as UKG or Paycor.
• Strong Excel, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
