HR Administrator Full Time Waukegan, IL, US 2 days ago Requisition ID: 1001 Salary: $65,000.00 Annually Role Overview As an HR Administrator , you will be critical to the operation. You will provide day-to-day human resources support to Carolina Wholesale Group (CWG) in coordination with the ADP TotalSource Professional Employer Organization (PEO). While major HR administration (payroll, benefits, risk management, compliance) are managed through ADP, this role ensures seamless communication, administrative support, and execution of internal HR-related activities at CWG. The HR Administrator will serve as the internal point of contact for employees and management regarding HR processes, assisting with onboarding, employee records, compliance documentation, and coordination with ADP TotalSource. Core Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions, policies, and processes. Coordinate with ADP TotalSource on payroll, benefits, employee relations, leave of absence requests, and compliance matters. Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis. Assist with new hire onboarding, including offer letters, new hire paperwork, orientation scheduling, and coordinating with ADP for setup. Maintain accurate and organized employee files, ensuring documentation is updated and compliant with company and ADP requirements. Support managers with employee status changes (promotions, transfers, terminations) by initiating and tracking updates through ADP systems. Ensure federally- and state-mandated postings, documentation, and compliance acknowledgments are current and communicated. Track employee time-off requests and ensure they are properly documented and submitted in ADP. Help coordinate annual processes such as open enrollment, performance review cycles, and required compliance training, in partnership with ADP. Generate HR reports and workforce data from ADP upon request from management. Support internal company culture initiatives, employee engagement activities, and communications. Provide administrative support for HR-related projects as assigned. Required Qualifications Fluent English speaking, reading and writing ability, easily understood by native US English speaking employees. Fluent Spanish speaking, reading and writing ability also desirable. Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered. 3+ years of HR support/administrative experience, preferably in an environment leveraging a Professional Employment Organization (PEO) or HR outsourcing service. Familiarity with ADP TotalSource or similar HRIS/PEO platforms a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and high confidentiality. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work with employees at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to act as a liaison between employees, managers, and ADP TotalSource. Detail-oriented, proactive, and adept at managing shifting priorities. Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a service-oriented mindset. Understanding of United States HR best practices, compliance basics, and confidentiality requirements.
