Human Resources Assistant

Job Summary: The Human Resources Assistant provides advanced administrative and operational support across the Human Resources Department, with a primary focus on Labor Relations, Benefits, and HRIS functions. This position performs specialized, confidential work requiring discretion, independent judgment, and the ability to manage complex workflows. Responsibilities include supporting investigations and employee relations processes, managing and tracking the district's employee evaluation system, coordinating critical HR activities, preparing and analyzing documentation, and supporting departmental compliance and reporting requirements. Starting Hourly Rate: Grade 5: $65,806.83 - $90,930.74 DOE Work Day: 8hours per day Work Year: 12 months Bargaining Unit: Non-Represented Job Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position): High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or four (4) years of directly related administrative experience in human resources, benefits administration, or a closely related field, including handling confidential information and managing complex workflows. Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet strict deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure. Proficiency in personal computers and software, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant applications for documentation, reporting, and communication. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and strict adherence to confidentiality.
