Green Circle Growers was founded in 1968 by John van Wingerden. With just a few acres, Green Circle Growers began selling to other companies like variety stores, lumber yards, hardware stores, and grocery stores. Today, Green Circle Growers is still owned and operated by the van Wingerden family and has grown to over 170 acres of indoor growing space. Our state-of-the-art greenhouses offer many different environments to keep up with the demanding mix of products that today’s market expects. We now provide plants to regional and national stores across the United States and Canada. We are able to market and offer broad products to mass merchants, as well as to growers. The retail market expects the full line of annuals in flats, containers, and baskets. The grower line produces pre-finished containers, plugs, and liners.POSITION OVERVIEW:The Cross Dock Crew is responsible for accurate handling of inbound and outbound shipments to support on-time delivery, maintain accurate inventory, ensure efficient production flow, and optimize warehouse operations.JOB DUTIES:Unload and load trucks manually or using material handling equipmentReceive hard goods and live goods into the business system against purchase orders, and verify that quantities and quality of inbound productsFacilitate proper sorting, labeling, scanning, handling, and storage of all inbound shipmentsReport any discrepancies on inbound shipments against purchase orders and support corrective actionOperate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, tow motors, etc.) safely and in compliance with company proceduresLoad outbound trucks and trailers in the correct sequence to support efficient delivery, ensuring on time and in full (OTIF) goals are metCollaborate with drivers, dispatch, operations teams, and warehouse team members to ensure accurate and timely movement of freightMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area that meets OSHA and company safety standardsAll other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma, GED, or relevant experience requiredPrior warehouse, cross-dock, logistics, or freight handling experience preferredBasic computer literacy or ability to learn scanning and warehouse systemsExperience operating a tow motor and other material handling equipmentSelf-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changeStrong communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to read and speak EnglishAbility to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays as required by business volumeMust be at 18 years old and able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screenPHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS:Work performed in a plant/production facility or outdoors; possible extreme heat/cold dependent on seasonContinuously requires ability to follow verbal and written instructionsFrequently requires walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling (up to 200lbs), bending, and crouchingOccasionally requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, climbing and handlingMay require ability to operate machinery, drive vehicles (truck, car, van, tug, forklift) or use equipment such as hand tools, computers, or general business equipmentCDL license or tug/forklift certification may be required #J-18808-Ljbffr
