Registered Nurse

Position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry. The role requires working every other weekend. No call or floating requirements. Applicants must have one year of experience. First-timers are accepted for night shifts. A state license is required by the start date. Certifications required include BCLS and ACLS. Pending licenses are not accepted; applicants must have a valid license in hand. Requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. All staff must pass a telemetry test to demonstrate competency before starting. The unit will manage various medications, including Carizem and Amiodarone, and will start pressors for blood pressure management. Staffing will include collaboration with interdisciplinary teams such as Physical Therapy and Social Services. Patient care will include adults and geriatrics experiencing a variety of diagnoses such as COPD, sepsis, and pneumonia. The expected patient ratio is 5:1. All staff members must have ACLS certification. Prior charge experience is preferred. Experience working with telemetry is crucial. Skills required include management of dysrhythmias, intravenous insulin protocols, and oral suctioning. This position will contribute significantly to patient care and support the medical-surgical unit effectively.
