Job Description
Forklift Operator
We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced distribution center. This role is essential in ensuring smooth warehouse operations by efficiently moving materials and handling shipments precisely.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers to load/unload materials.
- Accurately pick and fulfill customer orders.
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Assist with shipping and receiving, verifying shipments for accuracy.
- Use basic math skills to calculate weights, quantities, and measurements.
- Keep the warehouse organized by properly storing materials.
- Work collaboratively with team members to improve efficiency.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience operating forklifts.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory management is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate various lift trucks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads as required.
