Structural Engineer

Job Description
Design Hire is seeking a Structural Restoration Engineer to support evaluation, repair design, and project coordination for existing structures. This role is a strong fit for someone with civil or structural engineering experience who enjoys a mix of field assessments, office-based design work, CAD production, and client-facing project support.

Key Responsibilities
•Perform condition assessments, site investigations, field testing, and construction observation for existing structures.
•Evaluate field data, structural conditions, deterioration, repair needs, and material performance.
•Develop repair alternatives, technical reports, cost estimates, drawings, details, and specifications.
•Support restoration and building envelope projects involving parking structures, plazas, roofs, and related built environments.
•Assist with project management, client coordination, submittal reviews, shop drawings, field quantities, and construction administration.

Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field required.
•4 to 5+ years of experience preferred, with flexibility for strong candidates from 3 to 10 years.
•Experience evaluating, repairing, restoring, or assessing existing structures preferred.
•Background with parking structures, building envelopes, forensic engineering, or material testing is a plus.
•Concrete and steel experience strongly preferred.
•AutoCAD experience preferred due to drafting and CAD production needs.
•FE/EIT preferred. PE license highly desirable.
•Ability to work primarily from the office and travel to project sites for assessments, observations, and coordination.
