Principal Engineer, Salesforce

AbbVie seeks a Principal Engineer for Salesforce to lead strategic architecture and technical direction of the OnePRM patient relationship management platform. The role oversees system modernization, engineering execution, and multi-year technology roadmap supporting thousands of users across therapeutic areas.
Responsibilities
- Own system architecture, engineering standards, and alignment with Salesforce best practices and governance
- Drive OnePRM technical strategy, multi-year roadmap, and platform modernization initiatives
- Lead multiple engineering PODs and blended teams across development, QA, DevOps, and vendors
- Evaluate emerging Salesforce capabilities and translate successful pilots into production solutions
- Establish design review, code review, and release readiness processes ensuring quality and compliance
Requirements
- Extensive Salesforce platform architecture and implementation experience
- Proven leadership managing multiple engineering teams and vendor partnerships
- Strong expertise in CRM solutions, data modeling, and integration patterns
- Deep knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, and validated systems requirements
- Experience with CI/CD modernization and agile delivery practices
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and AI-enabled solutions in enterprise contexts
