Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Business Analyst – Data Platform
Work Location: Mettawa, IL
Business Analyst, BTS Commercial Patient Services – Salesforce Marketing Cloud Data Platform - 8+ years of experience
Position Summary: The Business Analyst supports AbbVie BTS Commercial Patient Services by partnering with business and technology teams to define, improve, and support capabilities for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Data Platform. This role translates business needs into clear requirements, supports data-driven decision-making, and helps deliver solutions that improve patient engagement, operational efficiency, and campaign execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and refine business, functional, and data requirements
- Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, detailed requirement documentation and test scenarios and strategy
- Partner with Patient Services business partners, Commercial BTS, analytics, operations, and technical teams to support platform enhancements
- Support data analysis related to patient engagement, enrollment, communication, and campaign performance
- Help improve workflow efficiency, and business process consistency
- Support testing, defect resolution, and validation of delivered solutions (Support testing activities including requirements traceability, QA/UAT planning, and defect triage.)
Preferred Experience
- Strong Experience as a Business Analyst supporting SFMC data platform, CRM, or marketing technology solutions
- Solid Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Familiarity with patient services, consumer engagement, enrollment, or campaign operations
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation, testing, and stakeholder management
- Ability to work across business and technical teams in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret business processes and data needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must have Capabilities for Candidates
- Detail orientation
- Clear and complete requirements gathering and documentation
- Strong business and technical SDLC, SFMC platform knowledge
