Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior SAP IS-U Billing Consultant EDM on behalf of our client in Remote. This role will support the design, configuration, enhancement, testing, and production support of SAP IS-U Billing processes within a utility environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing, along with strong hands-on experience in SAP Energy Data Management (EDM).

This consultant will collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, technical teams, and integration partners to analyze requirements, optimize billing processes, troubleshoot complex issues, and support end-to-end meter-to-cash operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions.

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional SAP IS-U solutions.

• Configure and maintain billing schemas, rate categories, rates, operands, facts, and related billing components.

• Support SAP EDM processes, including interval data, profiles, time series, and consumption data management.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex billing and EDM-related production issues.

• Perform billing simulations, mass billing, rebilling, billing corrections, and reversals.

• Support end-to-end meter-to-cash (M2C) business processes.

• Collaborate with Device Management, Meter Reading, Invoicing, and integration teams to ensure seamless system functionality.

• Conduct functional testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, and production support activities.

• Develop detailed functional specifications and partner with ABAP/development teams on enhancements and custom solutions.

• Provide recommendations for process improvements and system optimization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP IS-U functional consulting experience with a strong focus on Billing.

• Extensive hands-on experience with SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing.

• Strong practical experience with SAP Energy Data Management (EDM).

• Experience working with interval meter data, consumption data, profiles, and time-series management.

• Strong understanding of utility meter-to-cash (M2C) business processes.

• Expertise in billing configuration, including billing schemas, rates, rate categories, operands, and facts.

• Experience with meter reading, device management, and billing integration processes.

• Strong knowledge of utility billing operations within electricity and/or gas environments.

• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex billing and EDM issues.

• Experience supporting billing simulations, mass billing runs, rebilling processes, and billing adjustments.

• Strong understanding of integration between SAP IS-U Billing, EDM, Device Management, Meter Reading, and Invoicing.

• Experience with functional testing, UAT, defect tracking, and production support.

• Ability to create clear functional specifications and collaborate effectively with technical and development teams.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale utility implementations or transformation programs.

• Familiarity with utility industry regulatory and operational processes.

• Experience working in complex integrated SAP IS-U environments.

• SAP IS-U or Utilities-related certifications are a plus.
