Senior Business Analyst - EDI

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with strong experience in EDI and payment processing within the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with EDI 822, NACHA, and a solid understanding of multiple payment instruments, while demonstrating excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Lead analysis and implementation efforts for EDI transactions, with a strong focus on EDI 822 and NACHA file processing.
• Support payment processing initiatives across multiple payment types including Wire, ACH, Check, RTP, and Zelle.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting of payment files.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, and data mapping documents.
• Participate in testing activities, including test case creation, coordination, and validation of end-to-end payment flows.
• Ensure compliance with banking, regulatory, and operational standards.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, technology, and external partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong Business Analyst experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Hands-on experience with EDI concepts and transactions, specifically EDI 822.
• Solid knowledge of NACHA file formats and ACH processing.
• Deep understanding of the payments domain, including: Wire Transfers, ACH, Checks, RTP, Zelle.
• Strong banking domain knowledge, including payment operations and settlement processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a hybrid onsite/offsite model (able to work from the Atlanta office 23 days per week).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with SWIFT FileAct or similar financial messaging systems.
• Prior experience in large enterprise or regulated financial environments.
• Familiarity with XML, file-based integrations, and payment workflows.
