Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and an active CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Float Pool placement within a Med/Surg unit specializing in spine, post-op burn, and flap patients
• 18–20 bed unit located on the 8th floor of the main building
• Patient ratio of 6:1 with LPN support
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Night shift team includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1–2 PCTs
• Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts, air mattresses, wound vacs, and PCA pumps
• EMR: Meditech
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license for Colorado (standard or compact) required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in Med/Surg or related specialty
• At least 1 year of acute care hospital Med/Surg experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• ACLS preferred
• Burn care experience preferred
• Wound care and ostomy care experience preferred

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include wound and dressing care for post-op burn and flap patients
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• One professional reference required for consideration
