Position Summary

Genesys Health Alliance is seeking an experienced and highly professional Human Resources Manager to oversee and support the organization's human resources functions. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work from home while requiring regular on-site availability at our Cartersville, Georgia office.

The Human Resources Manager will serve as a trusted resource for employees and leadership, providing guidance throughout the employee lifecycle. This position is responsible for overseeing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, leave management, workers' compensation, compliance, training, and HR policy implementation.

The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, and confident handling complex or sensitive workplace matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support the organization's day-to-day human resources functions
• Partner with leadership to ensure HR practices support the organization's operational goals and workplace culture
• Manage recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, offers, and pre-employment requirements
• Oversee employee onboarding, orientation, status changes, and offboarding processes
• Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding company policies, procedures, performance expectations, and workplace concerns
• Address employee relations matters promptly, fairly, and professionally
• Conduct or support workplace investigations and maintain appropriate documentation
• Coordinate performance-management processes, including evaluations, coaching, corrective actions, and performance-improvement plans
• Support benefits enrollment, employee communications, and coordination with benefits providers
• Oversee Family and Medical Leave Act matters, including eligibility determinations, required notices, documentation, leave tracking, employee communication, and return-to-work coordination
• Oversee other applicable medical, personal, military, and legally protected leave programs in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
• Oversee workers' compensation claims, including injury reporting, claim documentation, communication with employees and insurance carriers, and return-to-work coordination
• Work with leadership and appropriate providers to support reasonable accommodations, workplace restrictions, and transitional-duty arrangements
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and legally compliant personnel files and HR records
• Track employee licenses, certifications, required training, background screenings, and other employment documentation
• Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, job descriptions, and employee communications
• Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements
• Support HR needs for employees working across Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Virginia
• Prepare HR reports and analyze employee data, staffing trends, turnover, and other workforce metrics
• Coordinate employee training, professional development, and workplace-engagement initiatives
• Support compensation reviews and help maintain consistent employment practices
• Promote a respectful, professional, and positive workplace culture
• Participate in HR audits, strategic initiatives, and special projects
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, medical, and business information
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred
• Five or more years of progressive human resources experience preferred
• Previous experience as an HR Manager, HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or in a similar human resources role
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and accepted HR practices
• Experience handling employee relations concerns, workplace investigations, corrective actions, and performance management
• Experience administering FMLA, other protected leave programs, workplace accommodations, and workers' compensation claims
• Experience with recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, policy development, and employee recordkeeping
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage sensitive employee matters with professionalism, fairness, discretion, and good judgment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Experience using human resources information systems, applicant tracking systems, and electronic recordkeeping systems
• Reliable transportation and the ability to report to the Cartersville office as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Human resources experience within a healthcare organization
• Experience supporting employees and operations in multiple states
• Experience working in a regulated or compliance-focused environment
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position that combines remote work with scheduled on-site responsibilities at the Genesys Health Alliance office in Cartersville, Georgia.

The selected candidate must maintain a reliable and professional home workspace and be available to work in the Cartersville office based on employee-support needs, meetings, onboarding activities, investigations, training, special projects, and other operational requirements.
