Position Overview

The Corporate Catering Attendant (Front of House) is the brand ambassador of Green Top Farms and the warm, welcoming face that guests look forward to seeing each day. This role is the primary point of contact for creating an exceptional guest experience, responsible for building genuine rapport with daily diners, maintaining the visual aesthetic of the dining environment, and delivering polished, professional hospitality in corporate settings.

More than any other role on our team, this person sets the tone for how guests experience Green Top Farms. A genuine smile, a warm greeting, and the ability to remember a regular's name or preference can transform a routine lunch into something people genuinely look forward to. This role demands a high level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail, with a focus on guest connection, service execution, and maintaining the highest presentation standards.

Responsibilities

Service Execution & Guest Experience (35%)

• Greet guests with genuine warmth and a welcoming presence, building familiarity and rapport with daily diners so they look forward to the dining experience each day
• Navigate working lunches and meetings by clearing spaces and refilling items without interrupting speakers or the flow of business
• Serve as a menu expert on daily offerings (breakfast, lunch, grab-and-go, special pop-ups), confidently answering guest questions about ingredients, allergens, and preparation styles
• Proactively maintain coffee service, snack stations, and service lines to ensure they never appear depleted
• Address guest concerns calmly, provide clear solutions, and follow up to ensure satisfaction

Setup & Presentation (25%)

• Set up designated service areas, ensuring all surfaces are clean, sanitized, and professionally arranged
• Handle event equipment with care, including countertop inductions, serving platters, utensils, and presentation supplies
• Ensure all linens are clean, wrinkle-free, and properly ironed
• Clean all equipment thoroughly, ensuring no smudges, stains, or water spots remain
• Verify all buffet labels are legible, accurate, and professionally presented with consistent fonts and formatting

Breakdown & Space Restoration (20%)

• Break down service areas efficiently, returning the corporate space to its original professional state while minimizing noise
• Ensure all equipment is cleaned and put away in designated areas
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, sweep, and mop as needed
• Assist in receiving and putting away any items delivered

Beverage & Station Management (10%)

• Maintain beverage stations, coffee service, and snack areas throughout the service period
• Monitor supply levels and replenish proactively to maintain a polished, fully stocked appearance

Communication & Coordination (10%)

• Communicate clearly and concisely with the Dining Lead and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth, timely service
• Coordinate the movement of equipment and carts through service areas and hallways with speed and safety
• Assume additional responsibilities as needed to support business priorities and ensure successful service execution

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of front-of-house experience in catering, corporate dining, restaurants, or hospitality
• Exceptional interpersonal communication, active listening, and customer service skills
• Meticulous attention to detail in presentation, cleanliness, and service standards
• Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks efficiently
• Polished, professional appearance suitable for corporate settings
• Composure and resourcefulness when handling schedule adjustments, menu modifications, or VIP requests
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly during high-volume service
• Willingness to travel to different client locations as needed
• A commitment to personal accountability and continuous learning

Preferred Qualifications

• NYC Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain one within the first month
• Experience in enterprise workplace dining or corporate catering
• Basic knowledge of food allergens and dietary accommodations (gluten-free, vegan, nut-free)
• Experience with cross-training across front-of-house and back-of-house roles

Location: Onsite at client locations (NYC)

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday through Friday; occasional evenings or weekends based on event needs

Reports to: Dining Lead / Operations Manager

Compensation: $23 - 25/hr
