If you are a collaborative nurse leader who thrives on mentoring teams, improving outcomes, and driving innovation, we'd love to meet you.What You'll DoAs the Director of Critical Care, you will:Provide operational, clinical, and strategic leadership for the Critical Care department.Lead and develop nursing leaders and staff while fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.Oversee staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and department productivity.Monitor and improve quality indicators including infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and operational performance.Lead department initiatives focused on quality improvement, employee engagement, and patient satisfaction.Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, Illinois Department of Public Health, and hospital standards.QualificationsRequiredBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) licenseBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificationMinimum five (5) years of progressive nursing leadership experience in an acute care hospitalMinimum three (3) years of leadership experience within a Critical Care or Intensive Care settingPreferredMaster 's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related fieldCritical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificationNurse Executive Certification (NE-BC or NEA-BC)Experience with regulatory surveys, quality improvement initiatives, and budget managementWhy Gateway Regional Medical Center?At Gateway Regional Medical Center, you'll find more than a leadership position-you'll find the opportunity to shape the future of patient care while developing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
