CT Technologist

Job Title

Pay Rate: $60 per hour - $70 per hour

Summary:

• 8am to 4pm

Responsibilities:

• Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
• Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning before any patient study is conducted.
• Administer radioactive material to patients as per the physician's order following the prescribed protocol.
• Adhere to department documentation policies by completing all necessary logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues to comply with regulatory agencies.
• Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests, following radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle.
• Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
• Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
• Receive radiopharmaceuticals on the day of delivery and verify proper receipt as per policy and procedure, ensuring the activity level of the dose is correct prior to administration.

Preferred Skills:

• Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
• Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient needs prior to, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
