Area General Manager

Manage the annual and long-term development and delivery of financial results for the Sales Office Achieve annual objectives for profit, volume, margins, business mix, and share across all business streams Lead customer and district sales management, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction measurement, price management, and marketing Maximize account penetration, market penetration, and customer retention Hire and onboard new sales associates Continually assess skills and administer necessary training Set quotas and ensure accurate sales forecasting and consistent use of Trane sales tools and systems Assemble account teams and interact with Account Managers with differing business development requirements, customer focus, experience, sales cycles, and product portfolios Ensure sales office compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational integrity Support human capital strategies including employee engagement, recruitment and retention, and diversity and inclusion Provide leadership for Operations through a matrix management organizational structure Manage the P&L for the Milwaukee, Appleton, and Madison, Wisconsin Commercial Sales Office locations Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 10 years of HVAC industry or related experience is a plus Understanding of Energy Management Systems, HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls, and/or Process Control Management is a plus Minimum 5 years of progressive sales managerial experience Valid driver's license held for a minimum of 12 months No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years Must pass additional drug screening if required for the safety-sensitive role Demonstrates strong leadership in managing sales operations, achieving financial objectives, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Possesses extensive experience in HVAC systems, customer acquisition, and team development.
