Production Supervisor

A growing plastics manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join its operations leadership team. This position is responsible for leading production personnel while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will provide hands on leadership on the production floor, coach and develop employees, coordinate with cross functional departments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
• Supervise, coach, train, and develop production employees.
• Assign work and monitor team performance to achieve production objectives.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and resolve production issues to minimize scrap and customer complaints.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other support functions to maximize operational efficiency.
• Monitor equipment performance and escalate maintenance concerns as needed.
• Review production schedules and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably within plastics (blending, extrusion, etc.) or a related process manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is required.
• High school diploma required; technical or manufacturing education is preferred.
