Step into a rewarding school-based nursing opportunity providing care and oversight for elementary and middle school students in a dynamic contract role near Paterson, NJ. This full-time position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 8:15AM to 3:15PM, running from September 4th through June 25th. You'll play a crucial role in supporting the well-being and health of students, managing medical needs, and ensuring a safe learning environment across multiple school buildings.

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Active and valid New Jersey School Nursing RN licensure
• Proven school-based nursing experience
• Comfort working within a district setting and willingness to disclose required information up front
• Ability to manage and provide services to caseloads in need
• Capable of overseeing health operations for entire school buildings (elementary and middle school)
• Compliance with onboarding requirements: TB test, physical, fingerprint clearance (agency and district)
• Reliable transportation and proximity that allows for consistent commuting
• Please note: LPN candidates will not be considered for this position

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct nursing care and health services to students and staff
• Managing student health plans, medication administration, and emergency responses
• Maintaining accurate health records and ensuring confidentiality
• Collaborating with administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Promoting wellness and a healthy school environment
