Accounting Assistant

Smith Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. This position will support day-to-day accounting and administrative functions and is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment. Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience Job Type: Full-Time Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Responsibilities Assist with accounts payable Enter and process invoices, payments, and other accounting transactions Reconcile accounts and assist with resolving discrepancies Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Assist with credit card and expense reconciliation Prepare and organize reports and spreadsheets Assist with vendor and customer account inquiries Support the accounting department with month-end tasks Maintain organized electronic and paper accounting recordsPerform general administrative duties as needed Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or similar experience required Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficient with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications Experience with accounting software preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Professional communication skills Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match after 1 year Paid sick leave PTO eligibility based on length of service Stable, full-time employment #J-18808-Ljbffr Smith Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical
