Medical Front Desk – Tulsa, OK

Pay: $15–$18 DOE

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Medical Front Desk – Must-Have Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in medical front desk or healthcare administrative role

• Experience checking patients in and out in a clinical setting

• Knowledge of insurance verification and insurance types

• Experience entering and updating demographics in an EHR system

• Experience collecting, posting, and recording patient payments

• Experience balancing and reconciling a cash drawer

• Strong typing and computer skills

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Dependable with stable work history

• Ability to multitask in a fast paced, high volume environment

Medical Front Desk – Position Summary

Front desk role in a busy medical office responsible for patient intake, insurance verification, scheduling support, payment collection, and accurate electronic record management. This position requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent patient service while managing a high volume workflow. Cross training provided for both check in and check out functions.

Medical Front Desk – Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Check patients in and verify insurance eligibility and benefits

• Check patients out and assist with scheduling follow up appointments

• Enter, update, and maintain patient demographics in EHR system

• Collect, post, and process patient payments accurately

• Scan, index, and maintain patient documents in electronic records system

• Balance and reconcile daily cash drawer

• Assist with front desk flow and patient check in/out coverage

• Maintain professionalism in a high volume clinical environment

Medical Front Desk – Additional Qualifications

• Experience scheduling appointments in an EHR system preferred

• Experience scanning and indexing medical documents preferred

• Familiarity with multi provider or specialty clinic environments

• Experience handling walk in patients and high traffic front desk flow

• Basic understanding of medical office workflows and billing processes

• Strong problem solving skills with insurance and payment issues

• Professional front desk appearance and communication style

* Maintain medical records, technical library, or correspondence files.
