Job Title

Physical Therapist – Pediatric Inpatient / Outpatient

Location

Anchorage, AK | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Days | 4x10 or 5x8 schedule | Onsite | Approximately 1–2 weekend shifts per month required | Traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment services to pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Deliver patient care within scope of practice, with the potential to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby as needed
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled (approximately 1–2 shifts per month)

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska Physical Therapist license required (pending license accepted; must have license in hand prior to start)
• Pediatric physical therapy experience required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required during compliance process
• Hepatitis B vaccine required; titers and declinations are not accepted by this facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel therapy experience, particularly in an acute hospital setting
• Experience working in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma facility
• Familiarity with pediatric inpatient rehabilitation protocols and interdisciplinary team collaboration
