Registered Nurse - Med-Surg

Location: Fredericksburg, Texas

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night Shift: 1800 - 0600

Job Description: Seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for a Med-Surg unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring high standards of nursing practices in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily weights and vital signs monitoring.
• Perform intake/output assessments and hourly rounding.
• Provide bedside report and discharge/admit own patients.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Carry out wound care and IV starts.
• Utilize various medical equipment such as BP machines and Dopplers.
• Ensure compliance with unit guidelines and hospital policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience preferred.
• Must have telemetry and postop care experience.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• PALS and NIH certifications are a plus.
