Elaine Ellis Center of Health has an opportunity for an OB/GYN PHYSICIAN to join our FQHC in providing patient care at our DC and Maryland offices.

A successful candidate will have 3-4 years of OB/GYN experience, be eligible for credentialing and privileging to perform GYN procedures at local hospitals and provide coverage for after hours call. As an FQHC, we offer loan repayment through the National Health Services Corp, excellent benefits including 3 weeks of PTO, continuing education and a strong healthcare team environment.

Responsibilities:

· Care for and treat female patients during prenatal, natal and post-natal periods.

· Adhere to approved practice standards and protocols from the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and DC/Maryland Board of Medicine.

· Explain procedures and discuss test results and prescribed treatments with patients.

· Monitor patients’ condition and progress and re-evaluate treatments as needed.

· Prescribe or administer therapy, medication and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury.

· Analyze reports, examination findings and test results to diagnose medical conditions.

· Record and maintain patient information accurately and timely.

· Provide on-call and after hours coverage

· Communicate with and treat patients via telehealth, as appropriate

· Provide education to patients and community members in the specialized field of women’s health.

· Refer patients to other providers and specialists as appropriate.

· Consult with and provide consulting services to other providers.

· Participate in provider meetings and other Center meetings as needed.

· Adhere to the Uniform Data System (UDS) productivity standards.

· Participate in outreach and offsite programs as assigned.

· Attend and participate in teaching and general staff conferences.

· Continually update education, therapeutic techniques and methodology; apply new knowledge to your position.

· Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
