Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to ambulatory surgery patients in a clinic or outpatient setting. Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to ensure optimal recovery and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' needs regularly and deliver skilled nursing services in accordance with physician plans of care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and assist patients with transfers and response to alarms.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with team members to update and improve patient care.
• Process physician orders accurately, ensuring timely and complete execution of care instructions.
• Follow up on medication changes and order clarifications to maintain safe and effective treatment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with pre/post-op and PACU experience required.
• Proficient in Epic EMR systems.
• Valid Michigan RN license with active ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Current skills checklist pertinent to ambulatory care within the past year.
• Must submit two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
• Candidates must have at least a 50-mile radius from the facility, as local candidates are not considered.
