Make a Real Impact – Help Others Build Independence and a Better Life!BHcare is seeking a compassionate and dependable Residential Counselor to support individuals in developing independence and improving their quality of life. In this role, you will provide emotional support, counseling, and skill-building in areas such as daily living, health and safety, financial management, and community integration. Residential Counselors play a key role in creating a respectful, supportive environment that promotes recovery and growth.This position is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. The schedule is Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 4pm-12am.Key Responsibilities:Assist residents with independent living skills, including meal planning, cleaning, hygiene, and money management.Support clients in developing and following recovery plans, coordinating with treatment teams and natural supports.Provide advocacy, referrals, and connections to community resources.Facilitate rehab groups and interventions focused on skill building and recovery.Supervise self-medication protocols and ensure accurate documentation.Provide crisis intervention and collaborate with emergency services as needed.Maintain clear communication through progress notes, logs, and required records.Ensure a safe and supportive environment, including overnight coverage when assigned.Provide transportation and assist with scheduling personal appointments.Why Join BHcare?At BHcare, you’ll make a meaningful difference every day, helping individuals build independence and achieve their goals. Must be able to navigate through electronic health records system (EHR).Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must maintain an acceptable driving record and be insurable at a reasonable rate under the Organization’s auto insurance plan.Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Passenger License.
