THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a Sr. Director, Product Management to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of next-generation networking infrastructure products for high-performance computing, cloud, AI/ML, and large-scale data center environments. This leader will own the product direction for advanced networking solutions that enable scalable, high-throughput, low-latency, and highly reliable infrastructure. The role requires a senior product leader who can operate at the intersection of engineering, customers, ecosystem partners, and business stakeholders to define differentiated products, guide execution, and drive market success.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate is an accomplished product management executive with deep technical expertise in networking, infrastructure, or data center systems and a proven track record of leading teams through complex product lifecycles. You combine strategic product vision with strong execution discipline, technical credibility, customer orientation, and the ability to influence senior engineering, business, and customer stakeholders. You are comfortable engaging in system-level architecture discussions while translating technical tradeoffs into clear product strategy, business priorities, and market impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, mentor, and scale a team of technical product managers responsible for networking infrastructure products and platform capabilities
• Own product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and execution for next-generation networking infrastructure focused on performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Partner closely with hardware, software, architecture, and systems engineering teams to define product requirements and deliver differentiated networking solutions
• Translate customer needs, workload requirements, and system-level tradeoffs into clear product direction, business cases, and roadmap decisions
• Engage directly with strategic customers, cloud providers, ecosystem partners, and internal stakeholders to identify market needs, validate requirements, and drive product adoption
• Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, sales, marketing, business development, operations, and executive leadership to ensure successful product delivery
• Evaluate emerging networking technologies, competitive dynamics, standards, and ecosystem trends to inform AMD’s long‑term infrastructure roadmap
• Guide full product lifecycle activities from concept and requirements definition through development, launch, customer deployment, and post‑launch optimization

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• At least 15 years of relevant experience in product management, technical product management, systems engineering, networking, infrastructure, or related technology leadership roles
• Proven experience leading product management teams and driving strategy for complex infrastructure, platform, semiconductor, networking, or data center products
• Deep understanding of networking systems and technologies such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, RDMA, InfiniBand, SDN, NICs, DPUs, switches, or related infrastructure components
• Experience defining, developing, or deploying high-performance networks for AI clusters, accelerated computing, or large‑scale cloud infrastructure
• Experience defining, developing, or deploying high-performance networking solutions for storage, disaggregated infrastructure, or scale‑out data center environments
• Strong ability to engage deeply with engineering teams on architecture, performance, scalability, power, cost, and reliability tradeoffs
• Demonstrated success working with cloud service providers, hyperscalers, enterprise customers, or large‑scale infrastructure operators
• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non‑technical stakeholders, align cross‑functional teams, and present product strategy to senior leadership

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
