Work Environment

The position is based in our outpatient office located in the heart of Vienna, Virginia. The operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance that promotes job satisfaction and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patient physical abilities and limitations to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Implement evidence-based physical therapy services that assist patients in improving their strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational and speech therapists, nursing staff, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive care planning and implementation.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on therapy goals, appropriate exercises to be performed at home, and strategies for injury prevention.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all therapy services provided, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Support discharge planning by assessing patients' functional outcomes and recommending necessary equipment, follow-up services, or other resources to aid their recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgical procedures, traumatic injuries, or chronic illnesses. Your focus will be to enhance their quality of life through tailored rehabilitation strategies, emphasizing geriatric care and promoting long-term health and wellness among older adults. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; advanced degrees (DPT or MPT) are preferred.
• A current Virginia Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one.
• CPR certification is required, or a willingness to obtain it prior to employment.
• Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and time management skills are essential for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, particularly in skilled nursing or outpatient rehabilitation settings.

Compensation and Benefits
