Non-Negotiables

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required, and a Master's degree is strongly preferred
• You must have at least 15 years of hands-on experience in analog and digital circuit design, including A/D conversion, processors, microcontrollers, I/O, and communication interfaces
• Deep expertise in power electronics is essential, with proven experience using MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, and GaN devices
• You need direct experience designing DC/DC converters and ensuring compliance with MIL-STD-1275/704, DO-160, and MIL-STD-461 standards
• Proficiency in performing thermal, electrical stress, worst-case, tolerance, aging, FMEA, EMI, and radiation (SEU, TID) analyses is mandatory
• You must be skilled in PWB layout for high-power, high-voltage, and EMI-compliant designs
• Solid working knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, RS-232/422/485, SPI, JTAG, PCI/PCIe, and 1G/10G Ethernet is non-negotiable

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the entire product lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through qualification, production, and sustainment
• Perform innovative analog and digital hardware design, simulation, analysis, and verification for systems that operate reliably in harsh environments
• Develop clear requirements, design documentation, and present designs at technical reviews to ensure alignment and quality
• Optimize complex design tradeoffs involving performance, cost, schedule, and risk to meet project objectives
• Support manufacturing, suppliers, and legacy products through hands-on troubleshooting and analysis
• Mentor junior engineers, contribute to proposals and cost estimates, and participate in technical hiring decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• An advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is highly desirable
• Experience with motor control, control theory, Clark and Park transforms, and sensor interfaces like LVDT, resolvers, and encoders will set you apart
• Proficiency with CAD and simulation tools such as LT-Spice, P-Spice, OrCAD, Allegro, and MATLAB/Simulink is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with Z-domain analysis and robust design for radiation environments (SEU, TID) is valued
• A track record of mentoring engineers and leading technical projects successfully is highly regarded
