Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a Level 4 NICU/Pediatric Cardiac unit requiring 2+ years of pediatric, neonatal, and infant experience.
Details
- Works in a Level 4 NICU with Pediatric Cardiac patients at a teaching hospital
- Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirement
- No floating to sister facilities required, floating within scope depends on experience
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Pediatric, neonatal, and infant experience required
- RRT certification required
- BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- NBRC and SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) certification/license accepted
- SC RRT license must be in hand at time of start
- License required if applicable
- Epic experience preferred
- Bronchoscopy patient care experience preferred
- Experience with airway management devices, suctioning, and extubation
- Teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care and neuro diagnostics services within a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma status
- Holiday rotation required
- Caribbean Blue scrub color required
- First-time travelers considered depending on position needs
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration
- Radius rule of 60 miles applies, with local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
- Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
- During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
