Wastewater Maintenance Operator

Keep our operations running safely and efficiently as a Wastewater Maintenance Operator. In this hands-on role, you will maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and rebuild critical wastewater equipment to ensure reliable plant operations and regulatory compliance. You'll work with a variety of mechanical systems, operate company equipment, and perform preventative maintenance while partnering with a dedicated team to support continuous production. This opportunity is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys solving problems, working in a fast-paced environment, and developing new skills, including earning Delaware wastewater certifications to advance their career.

Schedule: Rotating, Monday through Friday, 6:00pm - 6:00am. Weekends/Saturdays as business needs dictate.

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain a valid driver's license and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) authorization to operate company vehicles and equipment.
• Obtain a Delaware water license within 18 months.
• Obtain a Level I Delaware wastewater license within 12 months.
• Maintain flexibility and general physical fitness to perform assigned duties.
• Climb ladders and work on platforms when required to perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Use and understand the Maximo work order system.
• Repair, rebuild, maintain, and adjust wastewater equipment and related systems.
• Follow manufacturer operation and maintenance procedures when performing assigned work.

Minimum Education and Experience

• 6 months of prior related experience.
• Reading and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of arc welding, torch use, fabrication, and wastewater equipment.

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

• Work in areas subject to outdoor environmental conditions.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as required.
• Wear required personal protective equipment.
• Move throughout assigned work areas safely and efficiently.
