Job Title

Travel RN – Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED)

Location

Houston, TX | Freestanding Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend off; expected 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a freestanding emergency department setting with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Perform procedures including EKG, peripheral IV placement, ventilator management, and BiPAP
• Operate and interpret POC lab equipment (Piccolo, EPOC, Triage Meter)
• Utilize Meditech Expanse EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Operate unit equipment including Lifepak 15, C1 ventilator, and Lucas device
• Float to other FSEDs or the main ED as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas
• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room experience in a medium- to high-volume ER
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, CPR, and TNCC
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification
• Experience in a freestanding emergency department environment
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse EMR
