About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience - Charting system experience: Epic Description: 2 years of experience required. This position does not accept first-time travelers. Floating may be required to NICU or L&D. Weekends will be required to meet staffing needs. Unit primarily involves postpartum vaginal or cesarean deliveries, tubal ligation, and circumcision. GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery are included in unit responsibilities. Responsibilities include blood/blood products administration, managing drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vacs, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate. The role entails OB-GYN, post-operative care, and care following vaginal delivery. Postpartum re-admission and normal newborn care including thermoregulation and glucose management are essential tasks. Candidates must be willing to float to sister facilities if required. Travelers’ refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly unless it's for an agreed-upon interview.
