ATACO Steel Products Corp is hiring Press Operators to join our team. This is a great opportunity to get started in manufacturing and learn new skills while working a consistent schedule with 3-day weekends most weeks.

Pay:

$18.75/hr starting pay

$1.00/hr attendance bonus

Company gainsharing program

Schedule:
1st shift: Monday-Thursday | 4:00 AM - 2:00 PM

2nd shift: Monday-Thursday | 2:00 PM - Midnight

Occasional Friday overtime (up to two Fridays per month)

Entry-level Press Operator (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) $18.25 (includes day 1 bonuses)+

We are seeking a Press Operator to become an integral part of our team! This is an entry-level position with opportunities for advancement. The primary opportunities are through a state-sponsored apprenticeship program and on the job training to learn how to setup stamping presses. This program involves company-paid classroom training at MATC on Fridays. Not only will the company cover your tuition, you will be paid to go to class. Upon successful completion of the 18-month program, wages will exceed $20 per hour and you will earn a Press Technician journey workers card from the State of Wisconsin.


We also periodically have openings in our laser, brake press, tooling, and welding departments.


The position offers a good deal of variety in your day to day responsibilities. There is a predictable work schedule, Monday - Thursday with occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays (max would be two weeks per month). There are abundant opportunities for voluntary overtime on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Responsibilities:

• Operate punch and draw presses
• Inspect and package parts
• Run jobs as outlined in job instruction sheet or routing
• Be willing to be trained on setting up mechanical and hydraulic presses
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instruction from supervisor or lead person
• Qualifications are based upon skill, knowledge, ability and previous experience or closely-related or identical work
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

Four ten hour shifts per week


1st shift: 4:00am - 2:00 pm or 6:00 - 4:00 PM - typical starting wage $16.00 plus a $2 bonus if attendance is maintained and $.25 minimum gainsharing payout.


2nd shift: 2:00pm - Midnight - typical staring wage $16.50 plus a $2 bonus if attendance is maintained and $.25 minimum gainsharing payout.


3rd shift 10:00pm - 6:00am typical staring wage $16.50 plus a $2 bonus if attendance is maintained and $.25 minimum gainsharing payout.
