Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit is responsible for providing exceptional patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They collaborate with the healthcare team to promote evidence-based practices and uphold the institutions core values.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Utilize the nursing process to assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate professionalism, respect, dignity, involvement, and excellence in all duties
  
  
• 
  Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to facilitate understanding and involvement
  
  
• 
  Maintain thorough and accurate documentation using electronic health record systems
  
  
• 
  Adhere to safety protocols and clinical standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess at least 1 year of experience in intermediate care, step-down, or similar units
  
  
• 
  Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred
  
  
• 
  Current BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is also required
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills
  
  
• 
  Possess Registered Nurse licensure in the applicable state or jurisdiction
