Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Remote (PST hours required)

The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $80.00 - $80.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employment Type: Temporary, approximately 6 months, potential to extend
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours (PST)

Job Summary:

• Own the complete vendor invoicing process for US and international vendors, ensuring accurate vendor data, accounting treatment, GL coding, and sales tax/VAT treatment
• Match invoices to purchase orders (POs) in accordance with SLA timelines, processing approximately 500-800 invoices per month
• Monitor the AP inbox to ensure invoices are routed correctly and vendor inquiries are addressed within SLA timelines
• Ensure internal controls and procedures are followed, identifying discrepancies or unmitigated risks
• Document and continuously improve AP procedures and workflows, proactively identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions (including process automation)
• Review billing statements and follow up with vendors as needed to ensure timely invoices and payments
• Participate in special projects, analysis, and ad-hoc tasks

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in AP invoice processing across both US and at least one international market, including end-to-end procurement processing
• Experience designing AP processes to scale at a rapid-growth company
• Proficiency with Zip and Workday; experience with AP automation tools (OCR, RPA) and AI tools a plus
• Comfortable with ambiguity; a self-starter able to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Experience maintaining confidentiality and partnering with cross-functional teams (legal, IT, tax, accounting, finance)
• Strong communication skills with a customer-service orientation and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
