Job Description

An immediate opportunity is available for a Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager in Georgetown, DE, to support a 36-bed rehabilitation hospital focused on delivering specialized patient care. This position requires a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) who will provide pharmacy staffing and oversight while actively working alongside the team.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Provide hands-on pharmacy services and oversee daily operations.
Manage and collaborate with pharmacy staff, including one full-time and one PRN technician.
Utilize the Wellsky pharmacy information system efficiently.
Operate the Pyxis automation system for medication dispensing.
Perform IV compounding duties (excluding chemotherapy).
Support weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Pharmacist license with PIC qualification.
Experience working in a rehabilitation hospital or similar healthcare setting.
Proficiency with pharmacy information systems, specifically Wellsky.
Familiarity with Pyxis automation.
IV compounding expertise.
Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and mentor pharmacy technicians.

Location:
Georgetown, Delaware

Schedule/Hours:

40 hours per week
Pharmacy operational hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Weekend and after-hours on-call coverage may be required
