Sr. Surgical Technologist - Orthopedic Institute

The Sr. Surgical Technologist assists in preparation, processing, care, and maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment and participates in operative procedures as part of the surgical team. Duties & Essential Job Functions The Surgical Technologist participates, under supervision, in the implementation of Operating Room Nursing Care and performs tasks related to both direct and indirect care of patients in the O.R. The Senior Surgical Technologist is accountable to the clinical and administrative nursing staff of the O.R. It is essential that the Surgical Technologist is a team player collaborating with the nursing staff, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and all of the peri-operative staff. The Surgical Technologist must work to facilitate the care of the patient in a safe and expeditious manner. The Surgical Technologist will demonstrate competence in performing the duties and responsibilities required by his/her job description. Orthopedic scrub experience is required. Exemplary customer service is required.
