Sr Systems Engineer - Hybrid

Salary: $95,384 - 105,817 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, or a related science, engineering, or mathematics discipline, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience; or a masters degree plus 6 months of relevant experience.
• We require the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance within a reasonable time after hire.
• Applicants must be eligible for a U.S. Government security investigation and access to classified information.
• Due to the nature of our work, U.S. citizenship is required.
• The candidate must be able to travel to our Pittsfield, MA office once every 3 weeks.
• We are looking for solid understanding and application of systems engineering principles, concepts, and theories.
• We need practical experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or an equivalent, and systems modeling tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw.
• Familiarity with MBSE methods and digital engineering concepts is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to clearly present systems engineering findings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for documentation, analysis, and presentations is needed.
• The ability to quickly absorb new information and manage complex assignments efficiently is important.
• Understanding of the system development lifecycle from concept through disposal is expected.
• Awareness of safety and surety principles in strategic weapons systems is required.

• We support requirements analysis, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, trade studies, integration, and verification for D5LE2 subsystems under senior engineering guidance.
• We assist in creating and maintaining system models and architectures using MBSE tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw and DOORS.
• We apply developing critical thinking to spot system design weaknesses and recommend solutions.
• We perform interface definition studies for system components and products under direct supervision.
• We research vendor offerings, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to assess design or application feasibility.
• We produce technical engineering artifacts using established standards, processes, procedures, and tools such as T9001, SPALT, and peer review.
• We develop system security documentation for both new and fielded information systems.
• We plan and carry out assigned subtasks while tracking progress against schedule.
• We support modeling and simulation efforts aligned with D5LE2 program objectives.
• We participate in peer reviews and help improve engineering processes.
• We look for opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
