Senior Systems Engineer - Fire Control

Salary: $118,519 - 131,482 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, or a related science, engineering, or mathematics discipline, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a masters degree plus at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• We need candidates who are eligible to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance within a reasonable time after hire.
• Applicants must be able to pass a U.S. Government security investigation and satisfy all requirements for access to classified information.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• We are looking for someone with strong systems engineering experience across the full development life cycle, including requirements management and system modeling tools.
• We value proficiency with MBSE methods, digital engineering concepts, and recognized architectural patterns.
• We expect familiarity with systems modeling and requirements tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, DOORS, or similar platforms.
• We need strong analytical ability to solve complex problems, compare options, and drive sound decisions with limited guidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to present ideas effectively and influence stakeholders.
• Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, learning quickly, and working independently with initiative and judgment.
• We require the ability to travel to our Pittsfield, MA office once every 3 weeks.

• We apply systems engineering principles across the full life cycle to support requirements analysis, functional and performance analysis, system design, trade studies, integration and test, validation, and interface definition for D5LE2 subsystems and elements.
• We use MBSE and digital engineering tools to create, maintain, and communicate architectures, models, and designs for major program milestones.
• We identify and resolve design weaknesses through critical thinking and help guide technical decisions on a complex, long-duration program.
• We perform technical planning, cost and risk assessments, and supportability and effectiveness analyses.
• We allocate system requirements to lower-level components and support customer requirements analysis aligned with program goals.
• We research vendor solutions, COTS items, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to assess design feasibility.
• We develop complete and complex frameworks, systems, or products.
• We support modeling and simulation activities aligned with program objectives.
• We produce technical engineering deliverables using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• We evaluate systems for compliance with applicable government security specifications and may support accreditation, certification, and security documentation.
• We plan and execute project tasks, contribute to major milestones, and help achieve business objectives.
• We look for opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
• We may provide leadership or direction to more junior team members.
