AVP, Advisory Consultant

Job Overview The Advisory Consultant (AC) works in a consultative, team‑based environment focused on adding value to financial advisors and their clients. You help advisors serve their clients by leveraging LPL Advisory products and platforms, grow their business, and improve client service. Responsibilities Drive greater adoption of LPL Advisory platforms as a percentage of advisors’ new business and brokerage‑to‑advisory conversions. Partner with LPL Client Success Managers to design and implement strategic business plans for growth. Consult with advisors to segment their client base and identify opportunities for growth. Increase adoption and implementation of tools and resources that support a well‑run advisory practice. Serve as a referral source within LPL’s broader service and business units. Spend 40% of your time field‑interacting with clients, traveling 3–4 days every other week, conducting 16–20 meetings per week, and presenting at regional and national conferences. Collaborate with other LPL business units and sponsor firms to deliver value‑added education workshops on practice management, business development, and investment themes. Requirements 7+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably as a wholesaler, advisor, or recruiter. FINRA Series7 and66 (or both 63 and65). Exceptional communication skills, including virtual and live presentation proficiency. Documented sales success. Extensive financial services experience. Preferred credentials: CFP, CFA, CIMA, or CWS. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $103,515.00 – $172,525.00 (base salary varies by experience, education, performance, and location).
