Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract role offers an engaging opportunity to support a classroom of 9-12 students in a collaborative educational environment near Sheridan, IN. You’ll provide tailored instruction and build supportive relationships, ensuring every student receives the attention and care they deserve.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Indiana Special Education Teaching License
- Moderate-Severe credential or certification required
- Experience teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
- Ability to create inclusive, differentiated lesson plans
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students based on IEP objectives
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials for varying abilities
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Foster a classroom community that emphasizes respect, safety, and growth
As part of this assignment, you’ll enjoy a manageable caseload of 9-12 students, working 30-35 hours per week across a regular Monday to Friday schedule. Compensation starts at $35 per hour, with weekly pay to help support your work-life balance.
