Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in San Antonio, TX. This position requires providing high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department with a focus on trauma and critical care patients. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and efficient operations during night shifts.

Job Details

• Location: San Antonio, TX
• Unit: Emergency Room (ER)
• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
• Required Qualifications: Valid Texas RN license; BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale); at least 2+ years of ER experience; certified in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or equivalent.
• Preferred Qualifications: CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse), strong teamwork and communication skills, Meditech experience.
• Additional Information: All travelers are required to float; please inform candidates about the Methodist Floating Policy. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform procedures on unit including conscious sedation, intubations, behavioral health observation, sepsis management, stroke care (Tpa administration), and chest pain (Heart Alerts). Proper dress code includes navy scrubs with clean, non-chipped nails, natural hair color, and covered tattoos and piercings as per policy.
