You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.This 24 bed Critical Care Unit houses patients being admitted for cardiac thoracic and vascular care. This unit also entails PCU levels of care. Staffing is 1-3:4.Essential Duties:Provides continuous cardiac monitoring arrhythmia recognition and intervention.Initiates and titrates multiple complex cardiac related infusions at higher doses.Initiates and titrates drips related to critical care DKA/HHS algorithms.Use of phenobarbital for CIWA patientsJob RequirementsGraduation from an accredited school of nursing., upon hire and1-2 years med/surg experience orNew graduate with completion of senior practicum in a specialty area i.e.: Critical Care, ED, PACU orFor those with no previous PCU/ICU experience, must successfully complete the PCU residency or the critical care residency programRegistered Nurse: WA, upon hire andBasic Life Support - CPR, upon hire andAdvanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months andPreferredBachelors Of Science Nursing and One year of related work experience in an acute care setting, upon hire andPrevious PCU/ICU experience orCritical RN Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric/Acute, upon hire andCertified Neuroscience RN, upon hireWhere You'll WorkVirginia Mason Franciscan Health has a rich history of providing exceptional healthcare, dating back to 1891.
