This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Operations Supervisor role based in Oakland, CA. The position is contract-based with an immediate start, lasting 13 weeks or longer. The shift is Monday through Friday, during daytime hours, with no weekend work. Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee pharmacy operations and ensure workflow efficiency.
- Manage staff scheduling and workflow distribution.
- Conduct policy reviews and ensure compliance with USP standards.
- Provide training and support for IV competencies.
- Lead meetings and coordinate team efforts.
- Utilize pharmacy software including BD Pyxis, BD C2 Safe, and BD PK suite.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation.
- Licensed Pharmacist in the State of California.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy is preferred.
- Pharm.D. degree and/or completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Minimum of two years of leadership experience within an acute care hospital pharmacy.
- Strong skills in scheduling, workflow management, policy review, and training.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with pharmacy automation and drug safety systems.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
