Business Immigration Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Business Immigration Associate in Chicago, IL. Duties Develop an understanding of the client base and supported industries. Utilize legal precedents to address client situations and develop solutions. Research complex immigration issues and complete appropriate documentation. Execute case preparation and filings, and develop strategies for complex matters. Articulate complex issues to various audiences. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Participate in client meetings and provide proactive reporting. Ensure adherence to firm protocols for file maintenance and data quality. Meet productivity goals and identify opportunities for cross‑selling. Participate in marketing and business development opportunities. Ensure compliance with firm standards and policies. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney. Membership in a U.S. state bar or the District of Columbia bar. Experience researching complex immigration issues and formulating solutions. Experience utilizing legal precedents to develop solutions. Experience mentoring and providing feedback to associates and support staff. Understanding of immigration law requirements from a business perspective. Experience drafting and reviewing complex legal analyses and immigration petitions. Education: JD or LLM degree required. Certifications: Membership in a U.S. state bar or the District of Columbia bar required. Skills: Strong research and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
