About the Position

Job Title: Anesthesia Technician Profession: Anesthesia Tech Specialty: Anesthesiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00-18:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: None required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - High school graduate or equivalent - 2 years of experience working as an anesthesia technician Description: Provides technical and clinical support to licensed Anesthesiologists and Nurse Anesthetists in various clinical settings. Assists in the operating rooms, pre-operative areas, post-anesthesia care units, and procedural areas. Supports ambulatory surgery sites, dental suites, and hospital units in emergencies. Assists with transportation, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management. Operates under the direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia provider and/or registered nurse. Prepares and maintains patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia. Takes call as assigned for routine and emergency surgical cases. Preferred Education: Graduate of an ASATT approved program Advanced Skills Needed: BLS Procedures Performed: All specialties except transplant. Dress Code: Client provided green scrubs.
