Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Med/Surg Tele RN to provide exceptional patient care on a rotating shift schedule, including potential float to various units and the emergency department. The role requires adherence to strict certification and experience requirements to meet hospital standards.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in the Med/Surg and Telemetry units.
• Monitor patient vital signs, recognize abnormal ECG rhythms, and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Document patient assessments, care plans, and progress accurately in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Complete required documentation and assessments during orientation, including ECG rhythm and SafeMedicate tests.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio or Compact state RN license in hand at time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing prior to travel.
• Demonstrate current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications with active status.
• Have at least one recent managerial or supervisory reference in the applicable specialty.
• Commit to working at least every other holiday.
• Pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores during orientation.
