Behavioral Health Technician

As a Behavioral Health Technician at Diamond House Detox, you’ll be on the front lines of recovery, supporting clients through some of their most important moments, creating a safe and structured environment, and playing a key role in their journey forward. Summary Of Position The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays a crucial role in providing support and assistance to clients at Diamond House Detox. The BHT is responsible for conducting regular rounds, maintaining cleanliness in the facility, and addressing client service needs. This position requires compassion, diligence, and a commitment to the well‑being and recovery of our clients. Primary Duties And Responsibilities Perform regular client observations to ensure their safety and well‑being. Monitor client behaviors, activities, and compliance with facility rules. Accurately document client interactions, behaviors, and any incidents in client records. Complete required reports and logs promptly and ensure they are up‑to‑date. Report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate staff members immediately. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in all areas of the facility, including client rooms, common areas, and bathrooms. Follow infection control protocols and use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Assist with laundry duties and ensure clients have clean linens and clothing. Provide direct support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, meal service, and personal hygiene. Respond to client requests and needs in a timely and respectful manner. Facilitate therapeutic activities and engage clients in positive interactions. Work collaboratively with other staff members to provide comprehensive care to clients. Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment planning and implementation.
