Position Summary
We are seeking reliable Packaging Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team in Wyoming, MI. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining automated packaging equipment to ensure products are packaged accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.
The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and monitor automated packaging machinery.
- Perform product changeovers, machine adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure products are packaged correctly and meet quality specifications.
- Load packaging materials such as cartons, film, labels, and other supplies.
- Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and proper labeling.
- Monitor machine performance and minimize downtime.
- Complete production, quality, and downtime documentation.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Follow all GMP, food safety (if applicable), and workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized production area.
- Communicate equipment issues and production concerns to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
- Meet daily production and efficiency goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Previous experience operating packaging equipment or manufacturing machinery preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read work instructions and production schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
